The successful signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Mindanao State University at Naawan (MSUN) and Kasetsart University (KU) was held on November 20, 2023. The signing ceremony took place at Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand, and was officiated by Dr. Elnor C. Roa, Chancellor of MSU at Naawan, and Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, President of Kasetsart University.

Along with the MSUN Chancellor, is the Director for Research, Dr. Ruby C. Gonzales; the Office of International Affairs and Linkages Director, Dr. Rey Y. Capangpangan; the Director for Extension, Mariefe B. Quiñones and a Professor from the School of Marine Fisheries and Technology, Dr. Fernand F. Fagutao.

The primary objective of this MOU is to foster research and academic cooperation, emphasizing the principles of equality and reciprocity. The collaboration aims to strengthen the relations and mutual understanding between MSUN and KU. 

Key Agreements:

1. Cooperation in research endeavors, joint publications, and the presentation of its results

2. Exchange of academic materials, analytical data, publications, and other scientific information

3. Other education and academic exchanges to which both institutions agree

This MOU signifies a significant milestone in the pursuit of academic excellence and research innovation. MSUN and KU look forward to a fruitful collaboration that will not only benefit the academic communities within the institutions but also contribute to the broader scientific community.
