MSU at Naawan and Metharath University Forge Partnership

 In a bid to foster international collaboration and academic exchange, Metharath University in Thailand and Mindanao State University at Naawan in the Philippines are poised to establish a significant memorandum of understanding (MOU).

Representatives from MSUN were present at this meeting, notably Dr. Elnor C. Roa, Chancellor; Dr. Rey Y. Capangpangan, Director for International Affairs and Linkages; Dr. Ruby C. Gonzales, Director for Research; Mariefe B. Quiñones, Director for Extension; and Dr. Fernand F. Fagutao, Faculty at the School of Marine Fisheries and Technology.  Delegates from Metharath University, among whom was Mr. Lester Naces Udang from the International Reputations & Connections Center, also participated in the event.

Metharath University, renowned for its innovative teaching approaches and research excellence, seeks to strengthen global academic partnerships, advocating for sustainable development, and enhancing international exposure for faculty and students. Mindanao State University at Naawan, dedicated to high-quality education and regional development, emphasizes expanding global academic outreach, impactful research, and nurturing students with a community-oriented education. The university offers a vibrant academic environment focused on regional development and boasts strong ties with industries and a diverse student body deeply connected to the Mindanao region.

This prospective partnership aims to explore synergies in sustainable development, cultural exchanges, and academic collaboration. Preliminary discussions will be initiated to pave the way for joint academic initiatives, faculty and student exchanges, and collaborative projects, fostering mutual growth and regional development between these two esteemed institutions.
