Mindanao State University at Naawan Successfully Inspected by the Bureau of Immigration 

   On November 6, 2023, the university warmly welcomed Immigration Assistant Sahara Maunting Gunting, who was received by Chancellor Elnor C. Roa, Vice Chancellor for Planning and Development, Arleen B. Uy, MPA, and the Director of the Office of International Affairs and Linkages, Dr. Rey Y. Capangpangan. 

During the visit, discussions centered around the presence of foreign students, visiting faculties, and researchers who have been an integral part of the MSU at Naawan community throughout the years. The university representatives and the Bureau of Immigration discussed the necessary guidelines that need to be followed for the university to attain accreditation.

A comprehensive tour was organized for Immigration Assistant Gunting, covering various key areas of the campus. She explored the infirmary, campus buildings and colleges, Function House, Library, and ICTU. Additionally, she was given a detailed tour of the Research and Extension Division and its state-of-the-art laboratories. The tour extended to meet faculty researchers and hatchery managers, showcasing the university's commitment to research and academic excellence.

Notably, Immigration Assistant Gunting expressed that this was her longest site visit and provided positive feedback on the survey conducted during her visit. The University, particularly the Office of International Affairs and Linkages, is optimistic about the outcome of the application for school accreditation.

This successful inspection marks a significant step forward for the University’s pursuit of academic excellence and international collaboration.
