This course was held from September 2 to 9, 2023, at IPB University in Bogor, Indonesia. Mr. Maña proudly stands as one of the eleven esteemed faculty members handpicked for this course.
The course is a collaboration between IPB University, Ibaraki University in Japan, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, and SEARCA. Dedicated trainees from diverse countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, Pakistan, and Ghana brought richness to the summer program. The course was crafted to deepen understanding of regional sustainability. Key areas of study included disaster prevention, agriculture, and ensuring ecosystem resilience. The participants benefited from lectures, poster presentations, hands-on fieldwork, and group discussions, all focused on the theme of regional sustainability.
This course is a key component of the "Leveling-Up Philippine Higher Education Institutions in Agriculture, Fisheries, and Natural Resources (LevelUPHEI AFAR)" project, an initiative by SEARCA, funded by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Philippines.
