International Conference on Chemistry : "Chemistry Innovations for the World Need"
The International Conference on Chemistry held on February 15 - 17, 3023, at the University of Santo Tomas. This marks the 85th celebration of the Kapisanang Kimika ng Pilipinas (Chemical Society of the Philippines) with the theme: "Chemistry Innovations for World Needs", showcasing the various developments in chemistry as a response to global needs.
Various experts from Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, and the United Kingdom presented and highlighted the role of chemistry in addressing people's needs and attaining sustainability.
During the first day of the international conference, Dr. Rey Y. Capangpangan presented the study entitled, "Paper-based Analytic Device (PAD) based on Plasmonic Nanoparticles for Rapid Monitoring of Cyanide and Mercury in Water". The paper was in collaboration between Caraga State University, Ateneo de Manila University and Mindanao State University - Naawan.
Being one of the many published papers of Dr. Capangpangan, this aims to share knowledge and in return, engage into a platform of various fields of chemistry application wherein everyone interested in chemistry can take part of a forum for academic and social interaction, resulting in a dynamic community of chemists and other scientists.
