In a significant stride towards fostering international collaborations and advancing research endeavors, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mindanao State University at Naawan (MSUN). The agreement marks a pivotal moment following an initial meeting between Dr. Asif Qureshi, Associate Professor from IIT Hyderabad's Department of Civil Engineering/Climate Change, and Antonio F. Regis Jr., a Filipino research scholar from the Department of Climate Change.

 The collaboration was initiated as part of Mr. Regis' participation in the Doctoral Fellowship in India for ASEAN program, where avenues for cross-border partnerships were explored. Despite geographical distances, the power of technology through a Google Meet on February 20, 2023, facilitated a robust discussion culminating in the signing of the MOU.
