We are thrilled to spotlight the remarkable journey of Dr. Anabelle Dece A. Espadero, one of our esteemed faculty members. In October 2023, Dr. Espadero journeyed to Bali, Indonesia to join the 10th International Conference on Fisheries and Aquaculture (ICFA), uniting experts and scholars worldwide. She also chaired for Technical Session 16 – Nutrition/Feed Manufacturing/Diet Formulation and Food Conversion Efficiency IV.  

The 10th International Conference on Fisheries and Aquaculture (ICFA) 2023 was a remarkable collaborative effort, co-hosted by Politeknik Ahli Usaha Perikanan, Indonesia, and The South-South Aquaculture and Fisheries Cooperation. This grand academic spectacle was organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) in association with several esteemed institutions from around the world, including the Research Centre for Fishery, National Research and Innovation Agency, Indonesia; Kamchatka State Technical University, Russia; Mulawarman University, Indonesia; The University for Development Studies Ghana; Nong Lam University, Vietnam; Khon Kaen University, Thailand; Catanduanes State University, Philippines; and ADISSEO, Spain. 

ICFA 2023 aimed to foster an environment of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation. Scholars and professionals convened in parallel sessions, igniting the spark of curiosity, and forging connections that transcend geographical boundaries. 

At ICFA 2023, Dr. Espadero delivered a captivating presentation, "Developing a Coastal Resource and Environment Mapping Protocol: Drone Survey-QGIS-Photogrammetry Applications." Her paper unveiled a visionary approach to coastal resource mapping, underpinned by the integration of state-of-the-art technology. By harnessing drone survey and QGIS-Photogrammetry Applications.” This paper introduces an innovative approach to coastal resource mapping, using advanced technology like drone surveys and QGIS-Photogrammetry applications. Her work is poised to reshape how we approach coastal ecosystem management.
